Usually, the cause of plastic bottle cap mold rusting is the gas generated after the molten material is overheated and decomposed. If it occurs when the molding is suspended, the corrosive gas around the plastic bottle cap mold is mold corrosion. Therefore, when the injection molding is stopped, the mold must be wiped clean with a clean soft cloth, and the mold must be closed when not molding to prevent corrosion caused by gas generated by other injection machines around. When closing the plastic bottle cap mold, remember to apply butter, and don’t forget to plug the mold. If you stop molding for a long time, you should spray anti-rust agent in the mold cavity. Before spraying, the mold cavity should be cleaned. Wipe it clean with a soft cloth until no rust spots are confirmed.

If the surface of the mold cavity is stained with slag-like carbides, causing the plastic mold to rust, it should be removed in time; the carbides precipitated and decomposed in the molding material often cause the mold to wear or corrode, and should be wiped off with a dry cloth immediately if found.

Generally, although the electroplating layer in the mold cavity is good for anti-rust, it is not completely effective. Sometimes corrosive gas passes through the pores on the surface of the coating to cause deep corrosion. The way to avoid corrosion of the coating is to wipe the plastic bottle cap mold frequently.

Cooling water in the mold is easy to rust the plastic bottle cap mold. If the mold is cooled below zero, the moisture in the air will form water droplets on the surface of the mold, and if it is not wiped off, it will rust. Although the molding process will not be exposed, but after the molding is stopped, condensed water will be generated immediately. It is best not to stop the molding during the production process. Even if you want to stop, you should turn off the cooling water and dry the surface of the plastic bottle cap mold. When the above situation occurs, it is necessary to ensure that the protection work can be done in time to make the plastic bottle cap mold not easy to rust.
